When Ailsa Garland, then director of Vogue UK magazine, put on the cover the model Marie Lise Gres, photographed with a large handkerchief on her head in 1965, she could not imagine that she was creating one of the mythical images of her magazine. Today, that cover is still recognized as part of the imaginary pop of an era. Now, the artist María Herreros has versioned it, turning it into a limited edition screenprint (signed by her) and rescuing part of her sixties imprint for the 21st century. "The covers of Vogue are almost an encyclopedia of aesthetic trend, the idols of the moment and even the cultural context," says Herreros. For those who love fashion, or not, but who believe in art as an aesthetic element that unites everything, this artwork has been created.
