Sailor Moon is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi's in1992. It has a legion of followers around the world. Ricardo Cavolo is one of them. In this limited edition screenprint, the artist uses her figure "to modify it and present a less stereotypical and more diverse woman. It is a kind of punk game to break all those million stereotypes that have been abused so much in the culture of entertainment, with the danger that makes to girls and boys". An ironic, critical piece that brings together many of the recent symbols of Ricardo Cavolo's work: a heroine who fights against what is established and… she wins. In her heart, as can be seen in the piece, all the child symbolism that surrounds this animation icon is collected.
